Tomb Raider.

Exploring kinetic identity and interface rhythm for a legendary reboot.

The challenge was to modernize the Lara Croft legacy through a raw, visceral motion language. We focused on the juxtaposition of high-tech interface components and the gritty, organic world of the island.

01 — Before & After — Main Menu Redesign

Before

After

The original main menu (left) used a static title card with basic button prompts and minimal motion. The redesigned version (right) introduced a kinetic camera sweep through Lara's environment, layered atmospheric depth, and responsive UI elements that breathe with the scene — transforming a functional screen into a narrative statement.

The before/after contrast captures the core philosophy of the redesign: every frame the player sees should feel like the world is alive, even when they're not playing. The new menu doesn't just present options — it pulls you in.
